Utilizing technology learned
from many years supplying the aerospace industry, MPI has developed
the NRC-2™ family of high-performance radiant barrier Mylar
films.
The foundation of these products is an ultra-lightweight PET film
with a heavy, measurable, high-purity aluminum deposition on one
or both sides. This process provides a very flexible, yet moisture
resistant, thermal barrier with low lateral conductivity, low emissivity
and high reflectivity.
Our
unique Crinkleform™ Process provides built-in standoffs
to minimize heat transfer and thermal short-circuiting in multi-layer
applications. The built-in Crinkleform™ spacing also assists
in reducing pump down times in vacuum applications.

NRC-2™ – The industry standard – 250-300
Angstroms of 99.6% pure aluminum – on 25 gauge Mylar.
NRC-2/500 - More then 500 Angstroms of high-purity
aluminum for maximum reflectivity.
Available in Crinkleform™ or Smooth.
NRC-2/TWO - Two-sided metallized product providing
thermal reflection on both sides. Available in Crinkleform™ or
Smooth.
Cryolam – High-performance structure consisting
of a one-sided aluminized film
with a non-woven, non-outgassing spacer bonded together for applications
requiring layer separation.
Available in Crinkleform™ or Smooth.
